The instrument serves for the acquisition of the illumination intensity of the daylight, depending on the position of the sun.
The illumination intensity is acquired by 8/3 independent photo diodes, which are arranged in 45°/90°-segments. (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW )/(E, S, O).
